MINOT-MURPHY DIET IN PERNICIOUS ANEMIA REPORT OF FIVE CASES

Abstract

The five cases of pernicious anemia presented in this report have shown prompt and satisfactory remissions while taking the Minot-Murphy special diet. In addition to the improvement in the blood picture, there has been striking improvement in their general appearance, sense of well-being and neurological symptoms. In one case, free hydrochloric acid was found in the stomach contents after an observed achlorhydria for four years.
