Renal Infarction

Authors: GEORGE C. SIVAK, M.D., ROBERT LICH, Jr., M.D.

Abstract

Renal infarction is most often a complication secondary to cardiac or distant vascular disease. Thus the urologist has not had an active role in such cases. Now, however, with better technics he is called upon more often in diagnosis, and may well play an important part in saving life by early nephrectomy and occasionally by embolectomy.
