Abstract

In recent years educators both in psychiatry and gynecology have directed attention to the need for sex education in the medical curriculum to prepare the physician to counsel adequately in regard to sexuality. Education and clinical research in this sphere have lagged by two generations behind every other aspect of medical advance because of deeply rooted inhibitions and emotional attitudes.
