Abstract
Periodically it is well to review and to consolidate, for the nonspecialist in a given field, the current thoughts about a common disease. Though there may be nothing new in it, such a review reaffirms facts and practices, and reassures the family physician that he is doing all that can be done for the condition as of that date and current knowledge.
