Abstract

In pediatric practice many conditions produce certain changes in the long bones which can be demonstrated by x-ray studies and may enable one to arrive at a correct diagnosis of the disease. In addition, studies of the long bones may frequently bring to light unsuspected conditions in their early stages, thereby insuring treatment in some cases before permanent damage has taken place. For these reasons, we believe that a description of the most important of these conditions with their x-ray findings will be helpful to those who wish to make this examination a more frequent procedure.We have classified the material in this presentation under five main groups
