Abstract

The development of the newer thiazole derivatives of sulfanilamide and the demonstration of their bacteriostatic action on E. typhi in vitro1 would seem sufficient justification for a determination of their possible clinical value. In this preliminary report are set forth the results of this type of therapy in four proven cases of typhoid fever.
