Abstract

The ultimate mortality rate has been influenced little over that shortly after the turn of the present century. New attacks in treatment seem to be needed. The authors discuss and point the way to possibly influencing the eventual morbidity and mortality of burns. As has been emphasized over and over, most burns are preventable accidents.
