Authors: GEORGE W. SMITH M.D., JACK GRIFFIN M.D., MALCOLM SAYRE

Abstract

This describes the first attempt at treatment of myasthenia gravis by denervation of the carotid sinus published in this country. The author indicates there is no rationale for this procedure in the absence of information on the pathogenesis of the disease. Reports in the foreign literature indicate some patients may be improved by this treatment.
