Use of Neohydrin Scans and Roentgenograms in Evaluation of Renal Hypertension

Authors: J U SCHLEGEL M.D., Ph.D., A S MERLIN M.D., ROBERTO VARELA M.D.

Abstract

The authors propose the correlation of renal blood flow and renal mass, by scanning injected Hg203 and roentgenographic determination of the renal area, to evaluate the cause of hypertension. They believe this may offer a method of selecting patients for the surgical treatment of hypertension.
