Abstract

AbstractVerrucous carcinoma of the oral cavity has emerged as a unique lesion in several ways. The differences in approach to biopsy, treatment modalities, and the danger of radiotherapy are described and emphasized. This paper is a clinical study of nine patients treated by us. The implication of snuff dipping in the group is very strong. Three had methotrexate infusion therapy with excellent results. The paper serves to point up the difference between the verrucous lesions vs typical squamous cell carcinoma of the oral cavity.
