Abstract

In today's drug culture, this paper is timely as an aid in the almost daily problems of the primary physicians. It is probable that most doctors have unrecognized instances of drug dependence among their patients, to “surface” as such under the withdrawal accompanying hospitalization for some medical or surgical disease.
