Bile and Trypsin in the Stomach Following a Test Meal

Abstract

The authors demonstrated reflux of duodenal content into the stomach after a test meal, and that this contained the proteolytic enzyme trypsin. They speculate that trypsin may be a factor in the pathogenesis of gastritis and gastric ulcers.
