Abstract
Beriberi heart disease has been described uncommonly in the United States. It seems likely that the diagnosis is confused with that of arteriosclerotic heart disease. Serious consideration of the dietary intake is in order in the presence of chronic nonvalvular heart disease, especially in an alcoholic patient.This content is limited to qualifying members.
