Demonstration and Localization of Valvular Calcification by Planigraphy
Abstract
In these days of cardiac surgery and possible attack on the diseased aortic valve, the establishment of the diagnosis of aortic stenosis becomes paramount. Additional information to that furnished by physical examination is desirable. The demonstration of calcification of the aortic valve may be of aid in the over-all evaluation, incidentally, the localization of nonvalvular calcification may also be of importance. The author offers some suggestions for the use of planigraphy in the matter of intrathoracic calcification.This content is limited to qualifying members.
