Abstract

Allergic contact dermatitis caused by external exposure to nickel is well known. We are reporting a case of eczematous dermatitis caused by internal exposure to nickel in the form of an orthopedic metal implant. This is the first such case reported in this country and the fifth ever reported. A review of eczematous dermatitis caused by internal exposure to metals is included.
