Intestinal Disaccharidase Content
Abstract
The authors report an interesting study in intestinal physiology. They have demonstrated a fundamental enzymotic derangement involving the utilization of carbohydrate. Intolerance to disaccharides may be of either congenital or acquired origin. The first is an inherited enzyme defect. The other may be secondary to disease of the small bowel.This content is limited to qualifying members.
