Management of Abdominal Aorticoiliac Aneurysms Associated with Occlusive Arterial Disease A Study of 31 Operative Cases

Authors: ALTON OCHSNER JR. M.D., PAUL T. DeCAMP M.D.

Abstract

Morbidity and mortality rates are clearly higher when the surgeon is dealing with a patient who has, in addition to an aneurysm of the abdominal aorta, occlusive vascular disease distal to the aneurysm. He needs to give especial thought to certain items in the surgical management of these patients if he would avoid complications, aside from a higher mortality.
