Recurrent Hemolytic Anemia Secondary to Accessory Spleens
AbstractA Patient with recurrent hereditary spherocytosis due to a hypertrophied accessory spleen is presented. In patients in whom splenectomy is performed for hematologic disease, accessory spleens must be sought and removed. Recurrence of the initial disease should prompt a search for accessory spleens.
