Case Report

Medical Management of the Normal, But "Unwell" Patient

Authors: CHARLES W. HOCK, M.D.

Abstract

The medical history provides the only real means of learning to know the patient, become aware of his complaints and worries, and to establish rapport. This cannot be done by the laboratory and its reports. It takes time, but one may ask what worthwhile objective is attained without the expenditure of time. This essay should be read by every “busy” family doctor.
