McArdle Disease Presenting as Acute Renal Failure
In 1951, McArdle described a glycogen storage disorder which presents primarily as a myopathy. It is characterized by muscle pain, weakness and exercise intolerance with elevated creatine kinase from rhabdomyolysis.
