Tricuspid Valve and Pacemaker Endocarditis Due to Pseudallescheria boydii (Scedosporium apiospermum)
Abstract:We report a case of native valve and pacemaker endocarditis in a 78-year-old male with diabetes mellitus who died after cardiac surgery. At autopsy, tricuspid valve vegetations and lung abscesses containing thick, hyaline, septate, and branching hyphae were present.
